School events bring learning to life and help shape our school culture. They help students build confidence, connect with others and celebrate their progress. Events also give families a chance to be involved in school life and share in their child’s achievements.

PSSA Boys' Basketball Knockout

Date: Tuesday 11 August 2026

Our boys basketball team have powered their way into Round 7 of the PSSA Knockout Competition after a fantastic 50–26 victory in Round 6.

The boys will now progress to Round 7 very soon. With only a few teams left in the competition, the excitement is certainly building!

Congratulations, boys! We are incredibly proud of how far you have come and can’t wait to see what happens next.

Headlands PSSA Athletics Carnival

Date: Friday 7 August 2026

Students displayed outstanding sportsmanship, determination, and school spirit at the HPSSA Athletics Carnival. They competed brilliantly across a range of track and field events, demonstrating resilience, teamwork, and a willingness to always do their best. Congratulations to those that have qualified for the Far North Coast Athletics to be held on 21 August.

Netball NSW Schools' Cup

Date: Wednesday 5 August 2026

Our grade 5/6 mixed netball team showed commitment, teamwork and determination, winning all 4 games at the recent Netball NSW Schools' Cup. It was a fantastic event the team now progressed to the next round in Lismore.

Public Education Week Open Classrooms

Date: Monday 3 August 2026

What a massive few days we had to acknowledge and celebrate Public Education Week! Thank you to all parents, grandparents and carers who contributed to such a positive energy at our school, sharing in student learning through our Open Classrooms. We were also treated to a performance by our school Rock Band, who were outstanding! Later, our PBL Assembly allowed us to acknowledge the outstanding achievements of many students across a wide range of academic, cultural and sport activities. We were also entertained by our talented Extension Dance Group.

NAIDOC Day Activities

Our NAIDOC Week excursion to Heritage Park provided students with a valuable opportunity to celebrate and learn about local Aboriginal culture. Thank you to our community members and staff who made this meaningful day possible.

NAIDOC Day Assembly

Thank you to everyone who took part in our NAIDOC Assembly, ensuring a meaningful celebration and learning experience for everyone in attendance. Congratulations to our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, who were part of the Deadly Dancers who inspired and taught us so much about culture and history through dance.

Far North Coast Dance Festival

Our talented group of Stage 3 dance students was absolutely fantastic at the Far North Coast Dance Festival at Twin Towns, Tweed Heads. Our students excelled as part of a magnificent event showcasing the strength of the performing arts in Public Education. Congratulations to our awesome students and dedicated staff.

Headlands PSSA Cross Country

Date: Friday 8 May 2026

Selected students have participated in the Headlands District Cross Country at Teven-Tintenbar PS. Five students finished in the top 10 in their events and will go on torepresent Mullumbimby Public School at the Far North Coast PSSA Cross Country at Bilambil on 26 May.

Headlands PSSA Swimming

Date: Friday 20 February 2026

Selected students will participate in the Headlands District Swimming Carnival to determine eligibility for the Far North Coast Swimming Carnival. Parents/Carers welcome to attend.
